Description

Vanillin is one of the best known and most important materials in modern perfumery, prized for its warm sweetness, comforting familiarity, and exceptional blendability. As the principal aroma chemical associated with natural vanilla, it can give an instant vanilla impression—but perfumers also use it in smaller amounts to soften woods, round out amber bases, enrich florals, and tie together balsamic materials. Its true power is often structural: even if a scent doesn’t distinctly smell of vanilla, vanillin can make the composition feel warmer, smoother, and more complete.

Scent Profile: A warm and sweet vanilla material with creamy, powdery, and softly balsamic facets. Vanillin lends lasting richness, comforting warmth, and a smooth gourmand texture, while blending naturally with amber, woods, tobacco, leather, florals, musks, and resinous notes.
