Galaxolide™ is an iconic, clean musky aroma molecule, valued for its soft, diffusive, and exceptionally lasting character. Introduced by IFF in the 1960s, it helped shape the familiar clean musk signature found throughout modern designer perfumery. Its unobtrusive scent can be deceiving: Galaxolide™ is often used generously to create volume, continuity, and a long-lasting musky sillage, rather than appearing as an obvious, standalone note. It blends particularly well with floral notes, woods, amber notes, and fresh accords, lending compositions a smoother and more polished structure.

Processing Note: As pure Galaxolide™ is highly viscous and difficult to work with neat, we offer this fragrance diluted in IPM (isopropyl myristate, an odorless solvent) for easier handling.
